Ivna Ji

Having been active for two decades, Ivna Ji is a well-known name in the Croatian electronic music scene. This understated DJ and producer boasts numerous releases for prestigious international labels, a multitude of organized parties, and countless performances, including one for the HÖR platform. Ivna is considered a crucial element of both the Zagreb and Croatian electronic scenes, and she is regularly heard in our clubs.

Captivated by sound and its manipulation, Ivna Ji took her most serious step into production in 2010 with the EP Morning Dew for Deurun Records. The prestigious London-based electro label Brokntoys released her track “Oscillating Universe”, a collaboration that continues to this day. Moreover, Ivna has always believed that her goal – and the goal of most producers – is to be distinctive, to have a signature sound. But as time goes on, she increasingly veers away from what’s expected of her, preferring to experiment and take risks.

Parallel to production, Ivna delved into DJ-ing. Over time, her sets have evolved, but they’ve retained a similar ambiance, while she has explored various musical genres. Though she doesn’t often perform her music, as executing one’s own compositions requires meticulous planning and a rigorous format, she focuses on creating music that tells a story. She finds a balance between rhythm and melody, between dance and experimental, and between the old and the new.
